Our talented people empower us, and we believe in being part of a team that is open, collaborative, entrepreneurial, passionate and above all fun.

About the team

FIS offers world-class pre-built payment solutions running on the Open Payment Framework (OPF); a service-oriented architecture (SOA) delivering common, reusable services that support a wide array of payment products, including ACH, Fedwire, SWIFT, and RTP. The first OPF production deployment was launched in 2005 (via the FIS acquisition of Clear2Pay), and since then we have built up an impressive customer list of over 40 OPF implementations on a global basis. OPF clients utilize the solution in multiple capacities, including front end origination, middle office processing, and back office clearing and settlement.

What you will be doing

The OPF Pre Sales team supports the Relationship Executive in all aspects of the sales process. As the product subject matter expert, the Solution Consultant is responsible for completing RFPs, delivering onsite customer sales calls and demonstrations, and provide a liaison from Sales to the product and delivery teams.

  • Act as a key member of the deal team and as a liaison between the sales team and product management, product delivery, and professional services;
  • Assist the sales team in attaining our annual bookings quota;
  • Provide industry expertise in the payments domain, specifically non-card payments (ACH, Wire, SWIFT, and real time payment schemes);
  • Respond to written RFIs/RFPs, both through managing the RFP process and providing direct written responses to questions;
  • Conduct demos of our software solutions to prospects and clients, ensuring that we are clearly articulating the value of our solutions and how they map to our customers problems;
  • Work with other business units within FIS to coordinate an overall solution that may span multiple products, including related products outside our business unit; and
  • Report on deal progress and escalating any issues that need to be addressed to ensure that we win the business.

What you bring:

  • Experience with a consultative selling approach, ideally in the commercial banking space
  • Demonstrable subject matter expertise in banking systems and financial software, specifically ACH, Wire, SWIFT, and Real Time Payment networks
  • Ability to analyze, discuss and promote product-based solutions with customers and respond to their needs
  • Experience in market analysis and strong research capabilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills both in person and over the phone/video conference;
  • Strong listening skills and an ability to negotiate and influence others;
  • Availability to travel up to 50%, primarily in North America; and
  • Charismatic and able to build strong relationships with customers and prospects

  • Ability to work in a flexible environment and respond quickly to requests from prospects

Added bonus if you have:

  • Accredited ACH Professional (AAP)
  • Experience with PEP+ and back office ACH processing
  • Business level knowledge of cloud technology

What we offer you

  • Competitive salary and excellent commission bonus potential
  • Attractive benefits including private medical cover, dental cover, and travel insurance
  • A multifaceted job with a high degree of responsibility and a broad spectrum of opportunities
  • Travel throughout the US and Canada
  • The chance to work on some of the most challenging, relevant issues in the payments space.
  • Work from home and partner with dedicated and motivated colleagues
  • Varied and challenging work to help you grow your technical skillset
